Mirman Artists Win National Recognition
This year, 165,000 works of writing and artwork were submitted to the National Scholastic Art and Writing competition, sponsored by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers. Two Mirman students - MAZELLE ETESSAMI (US4) and NINA WOYTHALER (US2) were along the select 1300 creative teens to receive Gold and Silver Medals at the national level this year. Mazelle won a Gold Award in Photography and Nina won a Silver Award in Drawing. The National Award winners are honored at an Awards Ceremony at Carnegie Hall in June.
